Home to the UK’s Finest Gravel Bike Riding

About

Gravel riding is a new form of cycling that is growing across the world. The discipline combines the off-road element of mountain biking with road cycling to deliver an experience accessible for a wide variety of cycling abilities.  Riders follow forest roads , gravel tracks and cycle paths all of a non-technical nature.

In 2018 Aberfoyle village hosted the Dukes Weekender which was the first gravel event in mainland Scotland and one of the first UK events.  From then the village, dubbed ‘Gravelfoyle’, has become a premier destination for the discipline across Scotland and the UK.

Within just a 12km radius of the village there are over 200km of gravel roads, trails and paths to explore. In addition to this there is the new addition of 3 waymarked routes that give riders of all abilities the opportunity to take part and explore the beautiful surroundings of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
