Mountain Biking.

If you’re looking to hit some more technical riding or hit a little rougher terrain then there is plenty of mountain biking on offer on the doorstep in Aberfoyle. With options of some longer route, big mountains or some of Aberfoyle’s now iconic technical trails.

Right out of the back of the village there is ‘Lime Craig’ a 335m high hill littered with mountain bike trails. A word of warning though, these are natural trails and not official waymarked trails so certainly not for the faint hearted!

Zooming in to the Trailforks map below you can find many of the trails (mostly black and red trails) to the north of the village.

The Great Trossachs Trail to the north of Loch Venachar

For those looking for something a little less ‘enduro’ you can find a beautiful route heading north over the Rob Roy Way or the ‘Mentieth Hill’s’ as it’s known locally.

From there if you wish to add the miles and elevation, the Great Trossachs Trail to the north of Loch Venechar is a beauty as is the wonderful, remote Glen Finglas
